Intro to Butt Play for Men

I am targeting a very specific audience in this post: men who identify themselves as straight. There are straight men who stay away from the thought of butt play due to the fact that it is associated with gay men. Sadly, there is the social taboo associated with butt play due to homophobia and fear of shame. Those who turn away at the thought of anal play are missing out on a whole new world. Learning to embrace your anus and discovering the prostate will lead to a much more fulfilling sexual life.

Let’s Get Things Straight

Gay means that you are attracted to someone of the same sex. Your sexual explorations do not need to be defined by your orientation. If you identify yourself as straight, that does not mean that you are restricted with what you can and cannot do with your own body. Butt play is just another option for sexual pleasure.

The Feeling is Great

The anus feels amazing due to the many nerve endings and especially the prostate gland. This gland is sometimes referred to as the “male G-spot” or P-spot by others. The prostate gland, if stimulated in the right way, can cause a prostate orgasm on its own. In my personal experience, a prostate orgasm lasts longer than a regular penile orgasm and has caused my body to feel a body-wide form of orgasm.

Everyone is different when it comes to prostate stimulation, what works for me may not work for you. One of my favorite types of stimulation is prostate stimulation in conjunction with penile stimulation. This has been able to expand my orgasm spectrum and has even prolonged the peak of my orgasms.

What About Poop?

The anus is the poop chute. It may deter some, but it is important to note that the area is cleaner than some people think. About 90% of the time, the lower rectum has no poop in it whatsoever. There’s only poop in that area once you feel like you have to go to the toilet. As long as you have a healthy diet full of fiber and you have regular bowel movements, the worse case scenario that you’ll encounter is poop residue that warm water and soap can easily fix. If poop is something that you absolutely want to avoid, then gloves or condoms can be used. Douching and/or enemas can also be used, but they aren’t necessary.

Where to Start

It is important to start out by playing with yourself. Using your fingers is a great place to start. Take a relaxing shower and lay down afterwards. Using a finger with trimmed fingernails, start with massaging the outside of your anus. Use lubricant on your finger (preferably water-based for now) and slowly insert your finger. Do this step slowly and increase the pressure slowly. While doing this, bear down slightly as if you are trying to poop; this will open your external sphincter. If everything is done right, there should be hardly any resistance for your finger when it goes in. If for any reason your finger does not go in or there is resistance, relax, take a deep breath, get a bit aroused, and try again more slowly this time.

[box type=”warning” align=”” class=”” width=””]There should never be any pain when playing with the anus. Pain is a way of your body saying that something is wrong.

Once your finger is inside, do not go too far in. Try massaging the walls of your rectum and getting a feel of what your rectum feels like. You can try sliding in and out slowly and try to gauge what kind of stimulation you like. When the point comes where you feel Ready (with a capital R), you can go for your prostate. You’ll have to slide in deeper and aim your finger towards the front of your body with the pad of your finger. The prostate is located about 2 inches deep; it feels like a small bump about the size of a tree nut.

Endgame

It is necessary to mention that anal play with fingers might not feel too great at first. It takes lots of time to get good results. For some people, sex toys feel essential to get good anal stimulation. I’ll be talking about anal sex toys next. However, one should always start with their fingers  to get acquainted with their own anus.
